Frequent Storytellers Ink collaborator A House On Beekman approached us with a big task: to inspire viewers to see their vision for the neighborhood that they work in.
What was imperative, though, was that we didn’t just want to “tell the story” of their organization, it’s founding, and it’s clients – the technical ins and outs of their programs – but we genuinely wanted to inspire audiences. As such, we dispensed with the normal non-profit founder stories, program statistics and client testimonials, and instead we focused on the innate potential within each child that they work with, letting the children speak for themselves in this video, and aiming to cast a vision for why they do the work they do.
And this was successful! AHOB raised a record amount of money at their annual gala where this film premiered, and the video has been viewed and shared 10x more than any other video that AHOB has produced.
